William! КВ великолепный. Дмитрий, полностью с Вами согласен, каждый строит модель для себя и по себе А по поводу топора, по мне так это колун (рукоять, форма и размер самого инструмента) даже в сравнении с кувалдой которая лежит рядышком
Good afternoon my friends and Coleges I thank you for looking at my model and accept that certain things are less than perfectly accurate. Even when the model was on display here in USA I wrote in my own review that I had taken 'liberties' with the tools in the box. Fact is I wanted very much to be as accurate as possible but could not find resorces for accuracy. Even the 'Experts' I asked were not sure. a4s. I see you have made a list of problems, Alas, they do not translate well with Google. I wish I spoke Russian. ? = I do not understand or poor translation via Google.
1. chain on pistop ports instead of wire O.K. I understand. 2. something wrong with periscope. ? 3. about raspredkorobku wires to the signal and headlight, whiling away only at Aberdeen HF ... ? 4. about rings on rymah, which should not be ...? 5. about the missing hinges Bannik ... ? 6. vozduhopritoka flap was one, not two but generally well received. ....?
I am very interested in correcting flaws if possible. Please help me understand, if not in written language, maybe through pictures. Copy my pictures and 'circle' where the problems are. Thank you very much guys I look forward to your help спасибо, william

1. chain on pistop ports instead of wire O.K. I understand.
The chais were on the prewar tanks (T-35, for example). I didn't see any chain on KV. Only wires. And sides of the bung should be plished

2. something wrong with periscope. ?
periscopes are good, but: thre bottom holes are realy small (I made then with the needle).

3. about raspredkorobku wires to the signal and headlight, whiling away only at Aberdeen HF ... ?
I saw no trace of the wire joint on wartime photos. KV from Aberdeen has it, but KVs form 40-s did not. If you find photos of this joint not only on Averbeen's KV, I will be grateful

5. about the missing hinges Bannik ... ?
Банник - it is a long stick to clean the main gun (may be it called "swab" ?) KV-2 had a big gun and a big swab It was placed on the left side of hull (above the tarpaulin) and was fixed by belts. So there were two hinges on the top edge of the hull

Sincerely, Andrey
PS. There are some informative KV blogs on this site. Many photos, links and other info from many sources.
You are Andrey Fonin? I see your posts on missing lynx and MSC sometimes. Very nice work on your KV-2 and others. I can fix the periscope by drilling, I can add the mop or 'swab', I can remove the rings on the rear deck, although it was suggested that they belong there by a person of high authority. I can remove the chain from the pistol ports and use wire .On this very last production varient there was only one strap for the tarpolin. The extra armor between the turret and hull caused it to be deleted . I can not fix the intake vent as it would probably ruin the model, but I will remember for next time ! Thank you for taking your time to make the pictures, it worked very well ! My best regards, William P.S. I can not fix the wire. I am angry that I copied a 'mistake' ..... ha ha

И антена с радиоприёмника. Окрас очень понравился. Из принцыпа не собираю ничего американского.

Hello January , Let me comment on the radio antenna. While searching for reference, I contacted the Armor Journal about antenna length. Thjey told me '3.94 meters, but is NOT a wip antenna as I thought. They sent me radio schematic that appears on page one (1) of my thread. It clearly shows the segments, each about 900 to 1000 mm long. It was implied that it resembled an automobile radio antenna. So with much work I built it, sttreaching hollow sprue so they fit in each other. It was much later that I learned for the Russian radio TK-71-3 model 1939 was one of the type installed in KV-2s. However, the segments screw into each other rather than inside each other. So, for that radio, the sgments are correct. It is not shown at full length. I can easily replace all the hard work it took to make it with a piece of stretched sprue from the kit. I am happy at least you liked the color ! I have addressed how I will fix the other problems. This is why I posted my build here. Russian modelers are some of the best in the world, but also means they want accuracy in the building process. It seems to me that many in the USA and abroad only care about using the most expensive materials and paint job without a care for accuracy. So, when i fix the problems with my build( and most are small) I will have a model that took the test and passed. I never try to pass off a bad job, I think you must see that. Thank you very much and with my best regards, william
